Hoken Ombudsman (General Incorporated Association:” HO”) was established as a specialized entity to settle fairly, neutrally, speedily, easily your complaints against insurance-related business companies or disputes between you and them. HO, based on law, tries to bring a fair solution to you by pushing insurance-related business companies to properly cope with your complaints which HO is contacted about, and if the dispute cannot be settled by you and them only, specialists in consultation to consumers or legal matters can get in to finally settle the dispute. The scope of work of HO is limited to the scope of the insurance-related business companies who have concluded a service agreement with HO. The main insurance-related business companies having such an agreement with HO are admitted foreign insurance companies and insurance brokers (Hoken Nakatachinin in Japanese).
